Ushuaïa Ibiza

Ushuaïa Ibiza - Open-Air Spectacle on Playa d’en Bossa

An Outdoor Stage with Full Scale Production

Since opening in 2011, Ushuaïa Hotel has become one of Ibiza’s most recognised landmarks. Located at the centre of Playa d’en Bossa, it combines the feel of a beach resort with the production of a festival stage. Guests enter through palm-lined gates into an expansive open-air venue built around a central pool and towering main stage. With space for around 8,000 people, the club balances scale with atmosphere, its architecture wrapping the audience around the action in tiers.

By late afternoon the site begins to fill, drawing both first-time visitors and regulars who return each year for its day-to-night format. As the sun sets, lighting, pyrotechnics and sound rise in intensity, building towards headline sets framed by fireworks, CO₂ jets and LED screens. Ushuaïa’s design ensures visibility from all areas, whether on the poolside floor or from elevated VIP terraces. Its ability to create a concert-level show in an outdoor environment has defined it as one of Ibiza’s essential venues.

Directly opposite sits its sister club Hï Ibiza. Many guests combine their night with the two, starting at Ushuaïa and crossing over after midnight.

Residencies that shaped the season

The 2025 season saw Ushuaïa continue its reputation for high-profile residencies paired with large-scale production. Mondays were once again home to David Guetta’s long-running F*** ME I’M FAMOUS! series, mixing global hits with guest appearances and confetti-soaked finales.

Tuesdays and Fridays marked Calvin Harris’s return with a landmark double residency. Spanning the entire summer, his shows balanced radio anthems with deeper selections, with Fridays carrying a darker and more intense tone than the midweek editions.

Wednesdays welcomed Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike with Reflection of Love, produced in collaboration with Tomorrowland. Their blend of big-room sound and theatrical staging turned each week into a festival-style performance.

Saturdays remained dedicated to ANTS, one of the island’s most respected underground parties. With its ant-themed visuals, stacked line-ups and loyal following, it offered a contrast to the more mainstream programming earlier in the week.

Sundays rotated between two standouts. Kygo brought tropical house and live instrumentation through late July and August, while trance icon Armin van Buuren headlined selected Sundays in June and September, closing weekends with uplifting energy and elaborate lighting.

Across the summer, this mix of global superstars and underground names kept Ushuaïa’s calendar diverse while securing its position as one of Ibiza’s busiest clubs.

Entry options ranged from general admission to premium VIP. Standard tickets typically started from €30 and rose with demand, while VIP bookings offered fast-track entry, table service and bottle packages. Tables were positioned both at poolside level and on upper terraces, giving views of the stage and flexibility in atmosphere.

The venue’s layout supports smooth movement, with multiple bars and chill-out pockets to reset between sets.

Playa d’en Bossa itself adds to the ritual. Many guests began the evening at the Beach Club within Ushuaïa or nearby venues like Tanit Beach and Beachouse for sunset dinners and cocktails. After the music ended at midnight, the natural flow was across the road to Hï Ibiza, keeping the night alive into early morning.

Ushuaïa’s role in Ibiza nightlife

Over the past decade, Ushuaïa has set a new benchmark for what open-air clubbing can achieve. It combines festival-scale production with the intimacy of an Ibiza crowd, offering nights that are as visually spectacular as they are musically varied. Each season brings new residencies and collaborations, but the core remains consistent: headline performances, flawless staging, and a setting that celebrates Ibiza’s unique blend of beach and nightlife culture.

Ushuaïa remains not just a venue but a defining part of the Ibiza experience. Its role as the island’s flagship open-air club continues to shape summers on Playa d’en Bossa, ensuring its place as one of the world’s most influential stages.
